Mauricio Silbestre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Gonzalo Niguel made a huge save. German Fernanco's late challenge caught a Atletico Saladillo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. German Fernanco helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Augusto Mederi took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Gonzalo Niguel to make any attempt to save it. Arturo Urtsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niceto Montrell scored 3-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matias Felipo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Prospero Savion made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Arturo Urtsin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Matias Felipo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Toby Futbol Club's Matias Felipo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Toby Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. Niceto Montrell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Matias Felipo made a huge save. Gonzalo Niguel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Mederi in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Hermengildo Bingen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauricio Silbestre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Niguel having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when Sergio Castulo put in a rough tackle. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atletico Saladillo FC! The referee gave Toby Futbol Club a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arnoldo Fraco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atletico Saladillo FC's Gonzalo Niguel. 4-1. Atletico Saladillo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
