Prudencio Polo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Amancio Paez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Iztal's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After 36 minutes, Wilfredo Gil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falckner FC and the La Scaloneta players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Falckner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Gil didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexis Mac Allister came free, but Amancio Paez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arturo Tulio's late challenge caught a La Scaloneta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Falckner FC's Amancio Paez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Mac Allister in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgardo Lleir made a kick off. Segundo Birila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Gil in the 51st minute of the match. After 53 played minutes La Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Justo Aguirre. Robustiano Izel struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Segundo Birila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falckner FC. Amancio Paez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Mac Allister in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexis Mac Allister got free with Amancio Paez in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Falckner FC's Amancio Paez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Falckner FC from getting a goal against them. When Teodoro Oliveiro fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Falckner FC's protests and gave Teodoro Oliveiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Teodoro Oliveiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Alexis Mac Allister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Paez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Amancio Paez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Falckner FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alexis Mac Allister 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Sergio Agüero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Amancio Paez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amancio Paez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Mac Allister in the 86th minute of play. Falckner FC's Amancio Paez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Falckner FC from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, La Scaloneta's Amancio Paez threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alexis Mac Allister, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
