Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dario Hussain got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. After 13 minutes of play, Leon Platense's Dario Hussain made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Rainerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernán Leandro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Gaafar Carrillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Dario Hussain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Hussain spun around in front of the goal 26 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ecuador's goal. Dario Hussain's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 31 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gaafar Carrillo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Dario Hussain tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leon Platense's Ruperto Rainerio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Agustín Saelices charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustín Saelices the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Hernán Leandro made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Hussain came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Leon Platense's Dario Hussain in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Hernán Leandro hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When Hernán Leandro got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Leon Platense. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaafar Carrillo in the 69th minute of the match. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Hernán Leandro shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Leon Platense's Hernán Leandro got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constantino Anaya scored 3-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Constantino Anaya struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leon Platense. After having played for 92 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The Leon Platense players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
