In the 23rd minute, Forever Tango's Juan Raúl Amuchástegui dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Omar Santo came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Forever Tango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Santo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 27th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Christopher Bailey sent off a good shot on target. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Giraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Bailey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Santo in the 61st minute of the match. Omar Santo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forever Tango. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Arias during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute Omar Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 71st minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The corner ended in Juan Raúl Amuchástegui almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christopher Bailey in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Forever Tango the free kick. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Christopher Bailey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Forever Tango fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience was convinced that Christopher Bailey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Forever Tango were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
