An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Bailey in the 19th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Juan Kemen got a throw-in 23 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Omar Santo. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Giraldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. When Reynaldo Vimaro came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Forever Tango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Vimaro couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Bailey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Giraldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 47 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Juan Raúl Amuchástegui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Juan Raúl Amuchástegui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forever Tango's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Raúl Amuchástegui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Santo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Christopher Bailey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Forever Tango fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Christopher Bailey sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. When Christopher Bailey came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Forever Tango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Bailey couldn't finish the play. Juan Kemen's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Kemen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Forever Tango booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Christopher Bailey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. The Forever Tango fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Forever Tango's Christopher Bailey looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Forever Tango had played much better football throughout.
