Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregorio Hotz in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Gregorio Hotz put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. In the 16th match minute, Espirillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Demario to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregorio Hotz. 22 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Iztal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Arnoldo Arotza sent off a good shot on target. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 39th match minute, Espirillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Arotza to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristo Elia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jorge Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

2-0 became the score in the 51st minute when Cristo Elia elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Cutberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Iztal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Iztal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregorio Hotz in the 68th managed to get into a good position. After having played for 79 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The goalkeeper, Jorge Iztal, was totally fooled by Mexico's Joel Gaona, who 83 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Fernandes in the 86th minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Espirillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Arotza. The Espirillo FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
