Soriano Espiñeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of play. Soriano Espiñeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Nicanor Parra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Navalito's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Soriano Espiñeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Soriano Espiñeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Soriano Espiñeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Nicanor Parra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Nicanor Parra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Navalito's Isidoro Young was substituted for Nicanor Parra. Navalito's Clemente Esquerra was substituted for Faustino Huaiquiman. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Young, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Enric Mira's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enric Mira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Enric Mira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Eros Villamayor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Soriano Espiñeira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Soriano Espiñeira made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Isidoro Young blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Young, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidoro Young in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The supporters of Navalito booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Young came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
