Demonde Jacobson made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Marco Valadares sent off a good shot on target. After 16 minutes, Jamaall Padmore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jamaica and the E.C 2 Janeiro RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Paulo Pontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Haroldo Sanches kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Demonde Jacobson. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Jamaica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Válter de Sousa scored to the left of an out of position Demonde Jacobson, making the score, 2-0. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Jamaica from getting a goal against them. Carlinhos da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the E.C 2 Janeiro RS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
