Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Lawrence having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Zakariás Lányi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Zakariás Lányi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Los Irrompibles's Fabricio Lawrence. Fabricio Lawrence was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Lawrence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play forced Los Irrompibles's goalkeeper Fabricio Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogelio Herrasti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogelio Herrasti was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Juan Sebastián Puig the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ecuador protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Juan Sebastián Puig had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Fabricio Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play. Los Irrompibles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luka De Roeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Los Irrompibles made a substitution. Alfonso Nuxila replaced Ariel Baldovino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 84th minute of play forced Los Irrompibles's goalkeeper Fabricio Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luka De Roeck in the 87th minute of play. Santiago Calvet kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Los Irrompibles's Rogelio Herrasti in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Los Irrompibles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Herrasti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
