In the 9th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute, Virgílio Ferraz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Morales Moreira in the 20th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Morales Moreira in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Morales Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Duarte fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 29th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. In the 35th minute of the match, Virgílio Ferraz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Virgílio Ferraz pulled a muscle in his leg after 36 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 36 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nas Horas Vagas F.C the free kick. Nas Horas Vagas F.C made a substitution. Conrado Ceresso replaced Virgílio Ferraz. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. The supporters of Nas Horas Vagas F.C booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 40th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morales Moreira in the 40th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45thth minute of the game Morales Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Gernando Paes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Nas Horas Vagas F.C from getting a goal against them. In the 54th minute, Morales Moreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nas Horas Vagas F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 60th minute, Conrado Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Gernando Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goalkeeper Gernando Paes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Gernando Paes got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 played minutes, Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Antônio Penha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nas Horas Vagas F.C reached it. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Camargo in the 72nd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Morales Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gernando Paes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Nas Horas Vagas F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gernando Paes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conrado Camargo went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Abel Duarte charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Duarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristian Brasil's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Brasil helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nas Horas Vagas F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Gernando Paes had in the 93rdth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gernando Paes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When the referee ended the match the Nas Horas Vagas F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
