Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Morales Moreira took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Gernando Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gernando Paes. Gernando Paes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the match, Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Gernando Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Juan Sebastián Puig to score against Gernando Paes in Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goal. 0-2 after 18 minutes. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Gernando Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gernando Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gernando Paes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gernando Paes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gernando Paes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 33rd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gernando Paes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 35 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gernando Paes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Morales Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gernando Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goalkeeper Gernando Paes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morales Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gernando Paes. Gernando Paes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. 66 minutes into the match, Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goalkeeper Gernando Paes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the game, Antônio Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Antônio Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Morales Moreira in the 74th minute. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Morales Moreira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Conrado Camargo in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 81st minute, Edu Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gernando Paes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gernando Paes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 87th play minutes Daniel Zorita shot 0-7, a short shot which went by Gernando Paes and just under the crossbar into goal. Virgílio Ferraz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Nas Horas Vagas F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. The Nas Horas Vagas F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
