The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zheng Zhen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zheng Zhen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play forced Leeton United FC's goalkeeper Zheng Zhen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zheng Zhen came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Leeton United FC's Emanuel Hârșu in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Emanuel Hârșu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Emanuel Hârșu notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th match minute, Leeton United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 梅笑适 to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the game, Emanuel Hârșu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Hârșu in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Hârșu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Leeton United FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
