Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Toppi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Carapa FC were awarded a corner. Teofilo Gonzalez went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Virgilio Laffitte drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind Venezuela's goalkeeper. Lucas Ugutz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 17th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Manny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rangel Machev in the 19th minute. The supporters of Carapa FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Rangel Machev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carapa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Venezuela's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rangel Machev 45 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Ugutz to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Ugutz in the 51st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 52 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teofilo Gonzalez who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Carapa FC's corner Teofilo Gonzalez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. After 53 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romualdas Motiekaitis, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Braulio Manny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 61st minute of play. Carapa FC made a substitution. Lázaro Ramone replaced Virgilio Laffitte. In the 65th minute Lucas Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Ugutz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Lucas Ugutz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Ugutz in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Ugutz came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Carapa FC's Rangel Machev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rangel Machev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 85th minute Lucas Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Braulio Manny made a huge save. In the 88th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. After 91 played minutes Carapa FC got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Bazkoare. After 92 played minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Braulio Manny came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eulalio Elequemedo went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Carapa FC fully deserved thier win.
