Cristian Sancho had several of the Liga de Quito's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 83 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Rodríguez Tome as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 86th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Liga de Quito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rodríguez Tome quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luis Andino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodríguez Tome having to make a save. Rodríguez Tome showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that 孟轩青's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 孟轩青's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Liga de Quito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Rodríguez Tome, making the score, 0-2. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Liga de Quito throughout the match.
