Sergio Rochet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Kevin Mastache hit a great ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Anacleto Gaizkine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anacleto Gaizkine in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. The supporters of Colombia booed when The dogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Gray didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helge Pihlberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Helge Pihlberg slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 19th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Gray, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Anacleto Gaizkine tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Hultstrand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnny Hultstrand took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The wind increased when Anacleto Gaizkine made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Johnny Hultstrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Rochet came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Santino Seco. But to his dismay, Santino Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Sergio Rochet made a huge save. 85 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Anacleto Gaizkine came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The dogs.
