The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Fafinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, NapoleonMG's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Bogdan Fafinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 minutes NapoleonMG's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abraham Alguacil who took care of the corner kick. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Cai, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Fafinski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucio Fagondo charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucio Fagondo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 31 minutes into the match, Gualterio Cai dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla, 1-0. Bogdan Fafinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 47th minute of the match. Julian Mero kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualterio Cai to make the kick off. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Cai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Nicky Foote came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the NapoleonMG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicky Foote couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Bogdan Fafinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of NapoleonMG booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute of the match, Tomas Berganza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bogdan Fafinski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 82nd match minute, NapoleonMG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Fagondo to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Fafinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, NapoleonMG's Hector Romildo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Bogdan Fafinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 93rd minute of play. After 95 played minutes NapoleonMG got a freekick which was hit by Julian Mero. 96 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bogdan Fafinski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
