In the 4th minute of the match, Horácio Abraão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jax Williamson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 5th minute Geovanildo Luis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jax Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Koby Wright came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rohan Watson in the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Rohan Watson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haji Sarap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karsten Ulbak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jax Williamson having to interfere. Koby Wright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Haji Sarap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haji Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koby Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Abraão in the 30th minute of play. Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Koby Wright in the 32nd minute of the match. Haji Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koby Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rohan Watson in the 39th minute of play forced Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Haji Sarap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luka Harris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rohan Watson in the 43rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Joinville City - FSCMZ defense, Rohan Watson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Haji Sarap. The Joinville City - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Haji Sarap should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovanildo Luis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jax Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Haji Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luka Harris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 73 minutes, Horácio Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville City - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Canada's Prince Anderson was substituted for Carter George. Canada's Filip Edwards was substituted for Koby Wright. Canada's Theo Burton was substituted for Rohan Watson. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Bernardino Llorenc was substituted for Horácio Abraão. Haji Sarap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luka Harris in the 77th minute. Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Edwards in the 80th minute of the match. Jax Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Llorenc, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Canada's Filip Edwards ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Haji Sarap. Haji Sarap yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. When the match was over Canada could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Joinville City - FSCMZ throughout the match.
