Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Costin Duca took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Maria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes Salmuera CP got a freekick which was hit by Kiko De la Cuadra. Salmuera CP's Ruperto Maria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 7th minute of play. Ruperto Maria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Salmuera CP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Facundo Cadaval got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-1. 11 minutes into the match. Ruperto Maria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fan Xing Zhou in the 17th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Costin Duca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costin Duca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruperto Maria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. In the 25th minute of the match, Fan Xing Zhou tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ruperto Maria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hồ Kyhn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fan Xing Zhou in the 36th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Maria having to interfere. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ruperto Maria made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Martinez came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ruperto Maria. Ruperto Maria yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elpidio Quinto during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Salmuera CP got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Quinto. Salmuera CP's Ruperto Maria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Salmuera CP from getting a goal against them. Ruperto Maria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, Salmuera CP's Ruperto Maria got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hồ Kyhn, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the game, Facundo Cadaval was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salmuera CP the free kick. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
