Patrik Kovács recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. Béla Medgyesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 40th minute of play. Béla Medgyesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Uruguay were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 94th minute, Camilo Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uruguay played a much better game than TUSE and deserved their victory. The TUSE players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
