Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhang Yin Si in the 17th minute of the match. Fausto da Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AFC - Curitiba made a substitution. Romário Ortiz replaced Zhang Yin Si. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan Bykowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AFC - Curitiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseba Roa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Bykowski in the 84th minute of play.
