Los Trip's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Monty Rogers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacinto Frasquito hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Capello. In the 15th minute Bruno Capello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 16th minute of play. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Thanks to some nice moves Cassius Byrne could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Agustín Rossi however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Los Trip getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jacinto Frasquito hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Los Trip defense, Cassius Byrne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agustín Rossi. The Los Trip fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agustín Rossi should have stopped the shot. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiliam Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Tepedino in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes in the game, Wiliam Tepedino dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Wiliam Tepedino struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Trip. Los Trip made a substitution. Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca replaced Arsenio Perutxo. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Capello in the 84th minute of play. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Rossi was a little too slow when Sam Campbell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 3-2. The Los Trip players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
