Olavo Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Cambeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Revolución Joao FC's Cristinel Iosub got a free kick in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Youssef Malek. In the 24th match minute, Revolución Joao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justavino Manaut to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Youssef Malek during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, Youssef Malek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla was a little too slow when Youssef Malek got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. A collision led to Revolución Joao FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Justavino Manaut hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Youssef Malek got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Isidoro Sarmiento fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Isidoro Sarmiento a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Revolución Joao FC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Cuero Ibañez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 47th minute, Revolución Joao FC's Youssef Malek dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Youssef Malek to make the kick off. Olavo Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Youssef Malek scored 4-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Olavo Velloso in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Revolución Joao FC's Olavo Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 67th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Youssef Malek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Revolución Joao FC made a substitution. Leandro Bartoli replaced Youssef Malek. Revolución Joao FC's attentive Zambrano Bravo managed to snatch the ball when Jose Carita made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. Revolución Joao FC's Olavo Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Revolución Joao FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Leandro Bartoli put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Cotilla.
