Segmon IF's Thomas Ravelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Segmon IF from getting a goal against them. Santiago Gelmiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Thomas Ravelli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 20th match minute, Segmon IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dag Asserlind to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Gaita´s club booed when Segmon IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ture Elg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaita´s club's Urbano Mede got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Blomkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fernando Jaen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaita´s club's Fernando Jaen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Lind in the 26th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Tomas Brolin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gaita´s club's Fernando Jaen. Fernando Jaen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Urbano Mede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Thomas Ravelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Gaita´s club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Gaueko to maneuver through the defense. If Charlie Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Victoriano Koldobika got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charlie Lind stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Urbano Mede's late challenge caught a Segmon IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbano Mede helped the player get up and apologised. Fernando Jaen came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Segmon IF's Charlie Lind. But to his dismay, Charlie Lind quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 61 played minutes Gaita´s club got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Gelmiro. Fernando Jaen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Lind in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Fidel Manilan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Ravelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens-Ove Axelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Urbano Mede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute Jens-Ove Axelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Jaen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Segmon IF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
