In the 8th minute, Matteo Gartenmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Can Keep was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Charles Waluyo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Durian FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lugano the free kick. 10 minutes into the game, one of Durian FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave FC Lugano a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pornsak Seearamrungruang, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Durian FC's Can Keep. 0-2. Can Keep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pornsak Seearamrungruang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matteo Gartenmann in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Can Keep saved Durian FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Guido Emennegger got a free kick in the 20th minute. Dieter Gärtner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fadel Sutrisna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, FC Lugano's Fréderic Huerlimann seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fréderic Huerlimann the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Lugano protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fréderic Huerlimann had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 34th minute, Fréderic Huerlimann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Lugano made a substitution. Tiziano Gamache replaced Matteo Gartenmann. Fréderic Huerlimann kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Indiana Sarbini, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. FC Lugano's Dieter Gärtner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fadel Sutrisna in the 39th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Durian FC got a freekick which was hit by Romi Waskito. Ulric Donsante scored 0-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Can Keep, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fadel Sutrisna during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half FC Lugano were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feri Siagian made a kick off. A collision led to FC Lugano getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Chatmongkon Borvornpattarakomol hit a great ball. Can Keep showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulric Donsante in the 60th minute of the match. Can Keep was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ulric Donsante showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 63 minute of play. When Tade Zeller fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Lugano's protests and gave Tade Zeller a yellow card for diving instead. Tade Zeller hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Can Keep stood somewhat misplaced when Tiziano Gamache came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 69 minute. In the last second Can Keep throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tiziano Gamache in the 73rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Feri Siagian's late challenge caught a FC Lugano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feri Siagian helped the player get up and apologised. Feri Siagian hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Durian FC's Christopher Panjaitan got a free kick in the 80th minute. When Fidelio Haller came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC Lugano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidelio Haller couldn't finish the play. FC Lugano's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
