Tomas Brolin kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelio Bombardeiro in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Ravelli saved Segmon IF from getting behind. Charlie Lind struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Ivan Trindade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Segmon IF. In the 11th minute Charlie Lind shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Trindade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Vilar hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Kaj Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ivan Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kaj Åberg came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Segmon IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaj Åberg couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Charlie Lind dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ivan Trindade, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Ulf Vestberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Segmon IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulf Vestberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Trindade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the game, Joacim Öberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Segmon IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esquadrão Lusitano the free kick. After a rather tough play, Segmon IF's Joacim Öberg got a free kick in the 40th minute. Nils Danielsson hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Nelio Bombardeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Ravelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thomas Ravelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelio Bombardeiro in the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Esquadrão Lusitano getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Pedro Setúbal hit a great ball. When Segmon IF's Charlie Lind in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Esquadrão Lusitano's goalie prevented a goal. After 66 minutes, Sabino Carrasqueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esquadrão Lusitano and the Segmon IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Esquadrão Lusitano getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Sabino Carrasqueira hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the game, Kaj Åberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ivan Trindade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Segmon IF defense, Nelio Bombardeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Ravelli. The Segmon IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Ravelli should have stopped the shot. Nelio Bombardeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sabino Carrasqueira got free with Thomas Ravelli in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Segmon IF getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ulf Vestberg hit a great ball. Segmon IF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
