Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Lawrence Gonzi made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Lawrence Gonzi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mercedes's Raimundo Isusko. Raimundo Isusko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raimundo Isusko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke Abdilla in the 5th minute of play. After having played for 7 minutes, Luke Abdilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Templars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luke Abdilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute, Gaston Roland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Lawrence Gonzi made a precise shot to the right of Raimundo Isusko. Mercedes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Raimundo Isusko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luke Abdilla went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute Lawrence Gonzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Isusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Abdilla in the 36th minute of play forced Mercedes's goalkeeper Raimundo Isusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Templars FC booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Tonete didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve DeGaetano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Raimundo Isusko. Mercedes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lawrence Gonzi took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimundo Isusko. Raimundo Isusko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.

The crowd rose to their feet as Templars FC's Oliver Friggieri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raimundo Isusko. That made the score 0-5 after 52 minutes of play. Nick Grech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Pudes in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Pudes came free, but Nick Grech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luke Abdilla got free with Raimundo Isusko in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexander Grech Cumbo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Templars FC's Carlo Pisani was substituted for Alexander Grech Cumbo. Templars FC's Mark Cuschieri was substituted for Neil Debono. A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alexander Grech Cumbo hit a great ball. If Oliver Friggieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliver Friggieri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raimundo Isusko came out and tried to block the shot, but Oliver Friggieri slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 77th minute. Raimundo Isusko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Friggieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 81 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Eneto. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes's zone, Luke Abdilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Isusko came out of the goal and Luke Abdilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Padro hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Lawrence Gonzi came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raimundo Isusko could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Mercedes's Samuel Padro got a free kick in the 95th minute. Raimundo Isusko was a little too slow when Oliver Friggieri got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-7. When the final whistle sounded Templars FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mercedes.
