With his leg Vítor Damas managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Zdeněk Nesládek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Esquadrão Lusitano's Vítor Damas got control of the ball when Zdeněk Nesládek tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 7 minutes, Palmiro Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esquadrão Lusitano and the SK Slavoj Vyšehrad players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Esquadrão Lusitano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Palmiro Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Zdeněk Nesládek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vítor Damas made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Zdeněk Nesládek sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the match, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's goal looked a bit too open when Palmiro Cordeiro came free, but Jarmil Bůžek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasile Furdui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Vítor Damas made a huge save. Vasile Furdui's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vítor Damas firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zdeněk Nesládek got free with Vítor Damas in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jiří Kalčík in the 32nd minute. Vítor Damas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfons Öberg in the 34th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Cristiano Cigaran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esquadrão Lusitano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Cigaran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zdeněk Nesládek made a kick off. The supporters of SK Slavoj Vyšehrad booed when Esquadrão Lusitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Cigaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd match minute, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Furdui to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Cigaran came free, but Jarmil Bůžek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Alfons Öberg got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's goalkeeper Jarmil Bůžek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Palmiro Cordeiro. In the 69th minute Zdeněk Nesládek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Damas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Cigaran came free, but Jarmil Bůžek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tạ Bom who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Tạ Bom almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Jarmil Bůžek did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdeněk Nesládek in the 77th minute of play forced Esquadrão Lusitano's goalkeeper Vítor Damas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Jarmil Bůžek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save SK Slavoj Vyšehrad from getting a goal against them. Conrado Abalos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. Esquadrão Lusitano made a substitution. Rui Sá replaced Palmiro Cordeiro. After some careless play in the Esquadrão Lusitano defense, Jiří Kalčík kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Damas. The Esquadrão Lusitano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Damas should have stopped the shot. Vítor Damas came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Alfons Öberg. But to his dismay, Alfons Öberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Rui Sá fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esquadrão Lusitano's protests and gave Rui Sá a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Esquadrão Lusitano getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Rui Sá hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Sá in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarmil Bůžek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SK Slavoj Vyšehrad fans cheered their team off the field, for while Esquadrão Lusitano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
