Cristiano Cigaran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 5th minute, Esquadrão Lusitano's Rui Sá ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rogelio Goyo. Rogelio Goyo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Valdo Passos came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Esquadrão Lusitano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Passos couldn't finish the play. If Valdo Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th minute, Cristiano Cigaran made a precise shot to the right of Rogelio Goyo. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Sá in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogelio Goyo saved Patricio Rey Futbol Club from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Cesare Prisco got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Esquadrão Lusitano's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Salvadore came free, but Vítor Damas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match Patricio Rey Futbol Club got a corner. Esquadrão Lusitano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Denis Gabon ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Denis Gabon to fire away a dangerous shot which Vítor Damas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Esquadrão Lusitano's Valdo Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Rui Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esquadrão Lusitano's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogelio Goyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute Roberto Txaran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Damas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogelio Goyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Sá in the 42nd minute of play. Esquadrão Lusitano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tạ Bom in the 43rd minute. A collision led to Esquadrão Lusitano getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Tạ Bom hit a great ball. Lisandro Ireno fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 49th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Sindo to strike the kick off in the second half. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Rogelio Goyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Cigaran in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to Esquadrão Lusitano getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Brett Fazey hit a great ball. Narciso Sindo might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vítor Damas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Narciso Sindo ran back to his position shaking his head. 57 minutes into the game, Filomeno Esiquio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquadrão Lusitano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patricio Rey Futbol Club the free kick. Filomeno Esiquio kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Denis Gabon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vítor Damas. Esquadrão Lusitano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tạ Bom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rogelio Goyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 4-0 became the score in the 65th minute when Cristiano Cigaran elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 71st minute Valdo Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Goyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saturnino Harri lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a defensive mix-up in Esquadrão Lusitano's zone, Roberto Txaran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Damas came out of the goal and Roberto Txaran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esquadrão Lusitano's Rui Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Cigaran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogelio Goyo was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Cigaran in the 88th minute of play forced Patricio Rey Futbol Club's goalkeeper Rogelio Goyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdo Passos struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Rogelio Goyo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esquadrão Lusitano. Rogelio Goyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Sá in the 99th minute of play. There was no doubt that Esquadrão Lusitano were the better team. Esquadrão Lusitano's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
