Raphael Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but David Rotariu made a huge save. In the 18th minute of the match Jenipapo SC got a corner. PoWer SC 2K5's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arsenio Gipuzkoa ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 21st minute Maurício Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Rotariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Seaman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zvonimir Prestin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Todor, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Aníbal Alagoano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raphael Cunha got free with David Rotariu in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vinicio Junior in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Rotariu saved PoWer SC 2K5 from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal Alagoano got free with David Rotariu in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Rotariu was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Aníbal Alagoano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aníbal Alagoano really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
