In the 7th minute, Wim Overath left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PoWer SC 2K5 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 11th minute, Elpidio Francis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Rotariu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Todor in the 18th minute of play. David Rotariu made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Elpidio Francis sent off a good shot on target. David Rotariu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elpidio Francis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 21 minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leroy Kluttig in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Rotariu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. PoWer SC 2K5's David Rotariu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save PoWer SC 2K5 from getting a goal against them. David Rotariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Francis got free with David Rotariu in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when André Monclús made the kick off in the second half. André Monclús's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Rotariu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in PoWer SC 2K5's zone, André Monclús stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Rotariu came out of the goal and André Monclús tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Rotariu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner. Petrică Măcriș went to the cornerflag to take it. David Rotariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Monclús in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Măcriș to maneuver through the defense. Leroy Kluttig came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Branislav Velchevski could save by the left post. 68 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goal looked a bit too open when André Monclús came free, but David Rotariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Rotariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Monclús in the 71st minute of the match. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petrică Măcriș in the 73rd minute. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Petrică Măcriș was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Rotariu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 74 minutes, Alexander Brehme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PoWer SC 2K5 and the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes PoWer SC 2K5 got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Brehme. André Monclús's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Rotariu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Monclús in the 81st minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Overath could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Branislav Velchevski made a huge save. After some careless play in the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA defense, Hector Todor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Branislav Velchevski. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Branislav Velchevski should have stopped the shot. If André Monclús had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 87 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Gabon came free, but David Rotariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Monclús might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Rotariu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Monclús ran back to his position shaking his head. David Rotariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Monclús, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 96 minutes of play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Rotariu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
