Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Franco Navarro got the match started through his kick off. After taking down the ball on Fervent Stalkers's corner Eleuterio Donostia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 12th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Gaskon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Franco Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 18 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augusto Gaskon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fervent Stalkers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cirilo Laurgain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franco Navarro in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 66 minutes in the game, Franco Navarro dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Fervent Stalkers's Leandro Cutberto was substituted for Franco Navarro. In the 70th minute Cirilo Laurgain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eleuterio Donostia who took care of the corner kick. In the 75thth minute of the game Leandro Cutberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th match minute, Fervent Stalkers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Gustavo Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 minutes, Primitivo Andino mouthed his way into the referee's book. Eleuterio Donostia was slow to take the kick. During this time Fervent Stalkers's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Robert Moizuk. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Cutberto in the 86th minute of play. After 92 minutes, Leandro Cutberto made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Leandro Cutberto might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leandro Cutberto ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fervent Stalkers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ecuador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
