The goal made the score 1-0. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Daniel Olejarz came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Olejarz couldn't finish the play. A collision led to ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gaetano Scirea hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Daniel Olejarz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute, Davide Di Tommaso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Daniel Olejarz took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 51st minute of play forced ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's goalkeeper Angelo Bertoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Olejarz in the 60th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davide Di Tommaso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Davide Di Tommaso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Daniel Olejarz in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Olejarz in the 81st minute of play. In the 89th minute, Daniel Olejarz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 91st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense.
