Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) After having played for 18 minutes, Rafael Demanet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U. de Tarapacá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Demanet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Rafael Demanet tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingo Barcena got free with Rolando Noboa in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Domingo Barcena sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Domingo Barcena showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. After 30 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Demanet. Julian Murillo scored 1-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ariel Balboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 53 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Mangueira. Ariel Balboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U. de Tarapacá's Orfilio Orbañanos was substituted for Domingo Barcena. After 69 minutes U. de Tarapacá's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 71st minute Orfilio Orbañanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orfilio Orbañanos scored 2-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Orfilio Orbañanos came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Joaquin Prats managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Xaime Morales in the 86 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Gallo in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Balboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the match, Orfilio Orbañanos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orfilio Orbañanos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, U. de Tarapacá could leave the field as winners, despite Peru having more of the ball for most of the match.
