The wind increased when Vladimiro Urtsua made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andréas Vester in the 56th minute of play. Cochisuma's Ismael Bihar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 60th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Bihar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ismael Bihar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ismael Bihar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was a well-played corner which Luca Zorita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Ismael Bihar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Andréas Vester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Andréas Vester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Urtsua in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Bihar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Bihar was a little too slow when Joel Gaona got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-2. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 91 minutes into the match, Cochisuma's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Ismael Bihar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
