The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 7th minute of play. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Garrote, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, El Gallo de Moron's Luisinho Laguna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 14 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nacho Gonzalez was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez. Nacho Gonzalez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rd minute, El Gallo de Moron's Luisinho Laguna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Nacho Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 28th minute of the match. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Indiano hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisinho Laguna in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nacho Gonzalez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Luisinho Laguna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisinho Laguna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nacho Gonzalez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Mariano Lacasa could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Nacho Gonzalez however easily saved by the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Orlando Casaus notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez. Nacho Gonzalez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Indiano during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Pedro Indiano hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Luisinho Laguna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Nacho Gonzalez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Orlando Casaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nacho Gonzalez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Emiliano Rodera made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save El Gallo de Moron from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute, Luisinho Laguna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
