Carlo Amadei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Amadei having to interfere. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 minutes Las Momias F. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Las Momias F. C.. Rogelio Fernado charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogelio Fernado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Rogelio Fernado made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Montes during the 52nd minute. In the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 93 played minutes Las Momias F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Peli. Ecuador played a much better game than Las Momias F. C. and deserved their victory. The Las Momias F. C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
