The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 15 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Miralles. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Marcos Cotilla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 17th minute, Panthiseiakos's Julius Delcroix dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Panthiseiakos's Kleanthis Koumentakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 20th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Savas Iosifakis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 22 minute of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonardo Pernambucano was slow to take the kick. During this time Panthiseiakos's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandros Psomas during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Panthiseiakos! Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Savas Iosifakis in the 31st minute. Panthiseiakos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Berganza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fragiskos Skrekis made a kick off. With a little luck, Panthiseiakos's Kleanthis Koumentakis got control of the ball when Abraham Alguacil tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kleanthis Koumentakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Savas Iosifakis in the 61st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Panthiseiakos's protests and gave Wlodzimierz Smolarek a yellow card for diving instead. Wlodzimierz Smolarek kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Dylan Sarmiento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséas Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Panthiseiakos's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
