When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Axel Montenegro sped through Vikingos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastián Sosa. Arsenio Manuelo got a throw-in 21 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Roque Vito. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 24th minute of the match. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Mastache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastián Sosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastián Sosa was a little too slow when Abram Secada got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 3-2.
