With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Romeo Piñeiros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Birra Bizarra's Lohitzun Reigosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lohitzun Reigosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Erlantz Gainzarain tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Agustín Saelices ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lohitzun Reigosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Lohitzun Reigosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lohitzun Reigosa made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lohitzun Reigosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Beltza Feyjo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Piñeiros in the 61st minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Romeo Piñeiros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lohitzun Reigosa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Birra Bizarra's Lohitzun Reigosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Birra Bizarra from getting a goal against them. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Lohitzun Reigosa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lohitzun Reigosa made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lohitzun Reigosa, passed just outside the right post. Lohitzun Reigosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Birra Bizarra's Lohitzun Reigosa got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute, Romeo Piñeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lohitzun Reigosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Poncio Zalaeta came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador played a much better game than Birra Bizarra and deserved their victory. The Birra Bizarra players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
