Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Seagulls's Nildo Matos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 4th minute of play. Aurelio Rexino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Seagulls's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Rexino came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelio Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Seagulls's Nildo Matos. But to his dismay, Nildo Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 19 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Aurelio Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 20th minute. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 22nd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Seagulls getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Marco Mook hit a great ball. Aurelio Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 25th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nildo Matos in the 26th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Cremers got free with Dante Lacasa in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute, Nildo Matos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 3-1. After 33 minutes, Nildo Matos made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 35th minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Aurelio Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Aurelio Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Mook, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 minutes Seagulls's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Luca Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Luca Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Aurelio Rexino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them. Seagulls's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lautaro Mancebo 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-2. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 65th minute. Marco Mook charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Mook the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Aurelio Rexino, was totally fooled by Mexico's Joel Gaona, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Rexino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelio Rexino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Felix Luque got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aurelio Rexino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 78th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aurelio Rexino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 82 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Rexino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Rexino having to interfere. Marco Mook took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-4. Felix Luque struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Aurelio Rexino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but Seagulls were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
