Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Davi Dal Bello took the kick off in the first half of the match. Leopoldo Loureiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Leopoldo Loureiro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Davi Dal Bello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Dal 3ello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Lamonica didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Igor Taffarel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Igor Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of the match. Davi Dal Bello came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Natan Dal Bello's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natan Dal Bello helped the player get up and apologised. Leopoldo Loureiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Natan Dal Bello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Dal 3ello's Leopoldo Loureiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 3-0 after 44 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Dal 3ello's goalkeeper Igor Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Leopoldo Loureiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Igor Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Igor Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Leopoldo Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Loureiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Loureiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 83rd minute of play forced Dal 3ello's goalkeeper Igor Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Leopoldo Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dal 3ello's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Leopoldo Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Dal 3ello fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Loureiro couldn't finish the play.
