Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After 7 minutes Ostrália's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. In the 12thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ostrália's Luiz Fernando Linares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Robin Bergvall thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Luiz Fernando Linares, a very annoying self made goal in the 13th minute which led to 0-1. Luiz Fernando Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dudu Varela's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dudu Varela helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Ostrália got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Varela. In the 25th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Ostrália's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luiz Fernando Linares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 27 minutes into the match, Ostrália's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Luiz Fernando Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Linares having to interfere. During the 34th minute of the match Dudu Varela completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dudu Varela a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 35th match minute, Ostrália was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Varela to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luiz Fernando Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fernando Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th match minute, Ostrália was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Veloso to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Luiz Fernando Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michal Osikowicz in the 54th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Eskild Parbjerg came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eskild Parbjerg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Medeiros in the 69th minute of play. Ostrália made a substitution. Cícero Barbosa replaced Robin Bergvall. In the 76th minute, Denílson Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ostrália's Denílson Gaúcho got a free kick in the 77th minute. Felix Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Luiz Fernando Linares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luiz Fernando Linares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 82 minute of play. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Luiz Fernando Linares made a huge save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 91st minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Luiz Fernando Linares made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eskild Parbjerg in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind.
