Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off which started today's match. Aurelio Di Luca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atletico San Jacopino's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Mariano Lacasa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aurelio Di Luca quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Alan Tamayo hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Leon Veto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fedele Marzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Atletico San Jacopino's Aurelio Di Luca. Aurelio Di Luca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 20 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Aurelio Di Luca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurelio Di Luca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Er Didia in the 31st minute of play. Leon Veto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Baltasar Baristo fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico San Jacopino's protests and gave Baltasar Baristo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atletico San Jacopino getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Baltasar Baristo hit a great ball. The Atletico San Jacopino players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 1-4.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Er Didia was the one to do the kick off. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Er Didia in the 51st minute of play. In the 56th minute, Fedele Marzo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico San Jacopino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Aurelio Di Luca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Aurelio Di Luca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 60th minute. In the 81st minute Amos Atroce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amos Atroce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fedele Marzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Carballar during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Di Luca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Di Luca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 91st minute. In the 95th minute, Fedele Marzo made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chile eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
