Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Julian Murillo made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 10th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Horquizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Maximo Horquizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Peru booed when Sporting Buceo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charly Good didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaias Jakue's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Sporting Buceo were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yao Yan Sen took the corner. Maximo Horquizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play. Moises Gayoso kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Oscar Ruggeri in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. 41 minutes into the match, Isaias Jakue had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaias Jakue was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 45th minute of the game Oscar Ruggeri made a throw-in which Yao Yan Sen played forward. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Isaias Jakue made the kick off in the second half. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Ruggeri made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 65 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sporting Buceo's Maximo Horquizar. Maximo Horquizar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sporting Buceo made a substitution. Xinto Carreiras replaced Isaias Jakue. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximo Horquizar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Charly Good kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Sporting Buceo's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Maximo Horquizar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xinto Carreiras in the 79th minute of the match. After 80 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xinto Carreiras who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Sporting Buceo's Xinto Carreiras to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sporting Buceo's Maximo Horquizar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 81st minute of play. Julian Murillo scored 1-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximo Horquizar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Maximo Horquizar made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Milagros Fraga sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Buceo's goalkeeper Maximo Horquizar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Buceo's Charly Good. But to his dismay, Charly Good quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
