Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Álvaro Perpiñán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Álvaro Perpiñán didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Álvaro Perpiñán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 8th minute of the match. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 15th play minutes Cedro Pantoja shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Dante Lacasa and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 19th minute of play forced Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Facundo Cadaval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Álvaro Perpiñán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Álvaro Perpiñán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Álvaro Perpiñán read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After 31 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. Davor Šuker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Vintilă Ghițulescu made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 36 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Álvaro Perpiñán narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Álvaro Perpiñán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of the match. A hard shot 51 in the game by Lautaro Mancebo from a close distance when the talented Álvaro Perpiñán managed to make a qualified save. Sporting Burgas's players were relieved. In the 52nd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Álvaro Perpiñán in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes, Sporting Burgas's Davor Šuker shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Lacasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sporting Burgas reached it. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cedro Pantoja in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute Davor Šuker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sporting Burgas defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Álvaro Perpiñán. The Sporting Burgas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Álvaro Perpiñán should have stopped the shot. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cedro Pantoja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Álvaro Perpiñán however easily saved by the left post. Álvaro Perpiñán made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 84th minute. After 85 minutes Sporting Burgas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cedro Pantoja in the 86th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ke Xiong Chen in the 88th minute of play. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Álvaro Perpiñán. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3.
