After 11 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richmond De Worteleere was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, AC 1986 Vinalito's Rodrigo Jax got a free kick in the 18th minute. Bruno Abeita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Richmond De Worteleere didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Richmond De Worteleere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Richmond De Worteleere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC 1986 Vinalito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AC 1986 Vinalito's goalie and right to Luca Rouco. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AC 1986 Vinalito's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richmond De Worteleere having to interfere. When Paolo Nicholas fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC 1986 Vinalito's protests and gave Paolo Nicholas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, one of AC 1986 Vinalito:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AC 1986 Vinalito. AC 1986 Vinalito:s Richmond De Worteleere showed great skill when he stopped Joel Gaona:s penalty. The supporters of Mexico booed when AC 1986 Vinalito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richmond De Worteleere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. AC 1986 Vinalito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Abeita to make the kick off. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Guerau in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute Bruno Abeita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo Jax's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Marcin Wietrzychowski's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcin Wietrzychowski helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of AC 1986 Vinalito:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mexico:s goal. Richmond De Worteleere went to the wrong direction when Joel Gaona was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Guerau in the 65th minute of play. After 66 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Jax, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Abeita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Richmond De Worteleere threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Zorita, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Richmond De Worteleere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC 1986 Vinalito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Abeita in the 93rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Frances in the 96th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Frances came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
