Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Illescas made the kick off which started today's match. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Décio Tróia was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 11th minute, Edgar de Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Edgar de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the LaCity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar de Lara couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play forced LaCity's goalkeeper Décio Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Célio Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. LaCity's supporters rose to their feet, but Célio Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A throw-in in the 24th minute of the game was made by Vebjørn Knutsen with Edgar de Lara as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 39 minutes into the game, Hílton Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LaCity's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. When Edgar de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the LaCity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar de Lara couldn't finish the play. In the 45th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Harry Kaptein did an outstanding performance 48 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-0 to the right of an irritated Jonathan Ferrant in the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eriberto de Souza made a kick off. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Tróia having to interfere. Edgar de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar de Lara in the 59th minute of play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Décio Tróia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Edgar de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LaCity's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. LaCity's Hermínio Siqueira was substituted for Hílton Amaral. LaCity's Duarte Madureira was substituted for Richard Silveira. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Anselmo Paraibano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Célio Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Tomas Illescas in the 87th minute really tested Décio Tróia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Guillermo Mariano's late challenge caught a LaCity's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Mariano helped the player get up and apologised.
