CLAYMORE COUNTRY's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sten Lindell in the 13th minute. Lucas Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match, Gilbert Bonsaint tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Washington Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's supporters rose to their feet, but Washington Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Lucas Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilbert Bonsaint in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Gilbert Bonsaint in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Luis Andino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Ahmet Ceyhan Erozan was substituted for Emilian Onișoru. After 47 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. After 47 minutes of play, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Gilbert Bonsaint made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilbert Bonsaint was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Gilbert Bonsaint shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Bonsaint in the 79th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Lucas Maciel in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 86 minutes into the game, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Gilbert Bonsaint nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 88th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Washington Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The CLAYMORE COUNTRY players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
