Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. In the 9th minute, Flavio Luar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salvador Hats could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Desiderio Brais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santos Orlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lucio Stanislao 19 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santos Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. El Fortín de Floresta were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alvino Tinto took the corner. The corner led El Fortín de Floresta's Alvino Tinto to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 32nd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Salvador Hats's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. El Fortín de Floresta's Santos Orlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. El Fortín de Floresta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when El Fortín de Floresta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Stanislao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Santos Orlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salvador Hats made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, El Fortín de Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casimiro Policarpio to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santos Orlan. Santos Orlan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Saelices in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Orlan saved El Fortín de Floresta from getting behind. When Flavio Luar came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the El Fortín de Floresta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Luar couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salvador Hats in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Santos Orlan in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Fortín de Floresta's Delmar Manex was substituted for Salvador Hats. The El Fortín de Floresta fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when El Fortín de Floresta's Delmar Manex looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Flavio Luar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Flavio Luar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Luar in the 90th minute of the match. After 91 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alvino Tinto who took care of the corner kick. The corner led El Fortín de Floresta's Lauras Pukelevičius to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The El Fortín de Floresta players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
