Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Francisco Seco took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 11th minute of the game Teófilo Pinto made a throw-in which Ferenc van Nistelrooij played forward. Ferenc van Nistelrooij fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Bonifacio Aznar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Seco during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the last second Joaquin Gayoso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bonifacio Aznar in the 15thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Teófilo Pinto made in the 19th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ferenc van Nistelrooij immediately put the ball in play. 20 minutes in the game, Ferenc van Nistelrooij fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferenc van Nistelrooij got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusuf Ziya Sertaç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Uruguay's Francisco Seco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Yusuf Ziya Sertaç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. S.João de Areias's Yusuf Ziya Sertaç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 43rd minute of play. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferenc van Nistelrooij made a kick off. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yusuf Ziya Sertaç read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Franco to maneuver through the defense. Bonifacio Aznar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. In the 61st minute Bonifacio Aznar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferenc van Nistelrooij fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Aznar in the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to S.João de Areias getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Silvano Severo hit a great ball. The long shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 72nd minute really tested Yusuf Ziya Sertaç's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ferenc van Nistelrooij blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. Yusuf Ziya Sertaç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. S.João de Areias's Yusuf Ziya Sertaç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save S.João de Areias from getting a goal against them. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Yusuf Ziya Sertaç made a huge save. With a little luck, S.João de Areias's Yusuf Ziya Sertaç got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, S.João de Areias's goalkeeper Yusuf Ziya Sertaç had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. The Uruguay supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Uruguay would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
